Should the ClearBlue controller have power all the time or go off an on with the pump?

The ClearBlue controller should have power 100% of the time. It should NOT go off and on with the pump or be plugged into a timer.

When the pump is not running the ClearBlue system still releases minerals. The minerals collect in the tee area and are flushed into the pool when the pump comes on. This is by design and will not cause any problems.

There are no safety concerns if the ClearBlue minerals are released when the pump is not running.

We recommend a minimum of 8 hours of pump time per day for best performance.
